NYC Weeks 3 - 5, Part 1: More Broadway Shows!

Hey guys!

So I know, it's been a while since my last blog post, but I am going to make a huge three-part post tonight summarizing all of the exciting things I've been up to in the past weeks:  Here goes!

I made the oh-so-right choice of going to see WICKED on February 1st with Marissa -- it was my third time seeing the show and her first, so I was excited for her to finally see what all the hype was about.  As expected, the show was just amazing; it truly never does get old, especially at the end of Act One when Elphaba goes flying into the air, which weirdly almost brought me to tears that night... anyway, on a less-emotional note, Marissa and I stayed outside the stage door after the show, and not only did we get to meet Todrick Hall (Youtube celebrity and current star of Kinky Boots on Broadway) who just so happened to have seen the show that night too, but we also got a signed poster & selfie with Sheryl Lee Ralph (pictured below), who was a wonderful Madame Morrible!

I also, for the first time in my life, won a lottery for a show!!  We had awesome seats for IN TRANSIT, the all-a cappella musical, which was such a fantastic and feel-good show, but also a really relevant and relatable one with a strong message, so go see it if you get the chance!  And if winning the lottery wasn't enough, Patti LuPone attended the show as well, and stood in front of us in line!

Corbin Bleu at On Your Feet!, Todrick Hall at Wicked, and now Patti LuPone at In Transit... I've been having really good luck with random famous people showing up at the shows I see -- let's hope that continues!
